10 Week Old And Rice Cereal?

My son has been breastfed exclusively. But the past two weeks he has been wanting to eat non stop. I’m talking a feeding session that lasts an hour of back and forth eating, then a diaper change and then will sit for another 45 mins eating. Then he will fall asleep for not even 45 mins and be up rooting again. I’ve tried soothing him with a pacifier just to see if he is wanting to sooth suck -no. I’ve tried giving him baths, which work while he’s in the bath then he pitches a fit when he gets out and its back to rooting. I’ve tried distracting him by playing or talking to him/singing/rocking. I’m pretty sure it’s not colic because he’s quiet as soon as he gets the breast. My sisters son was colic and nothing, not even a bottle, would make him stop crying when he got started.
I dont know what to do besides pumping a little and putting it in a little rice cereal. On the box it says if your child is a supported sitter it is safe to start them on it. But every time i look at something on here everyone says no.
I’ve been trying to get in touch with a lactation consultant but haven’t had luck the past two days and I’ve thought about asking his doctor but I’ve been told not to take their advice that most don’t know anything about breastfeeding.
Used to he would eat for an hour then sleep two hours. I mean I know he wont sleep like that during the day because he wants to be up. But eating for an hour, sleeping for 30 mins then wanting another hour of eating and so on through out the day? It’s been two weeks of this, if its a growth spurt how much longer is it going to last? I really want to continue breastfeeding I really enjoy it but I dont know what to do.
Also, he had his 2 month check up last monday and he was right on track 10lbs 1oz (born 7lbs 8oz) So I know my milk supply isnt low.
And I really don’t need rude answers. I chose breastfeeding because I want what is best for my son, and I dont want everyone to take it as I cant handle the demand anymore because I can and I will if its what he wants. But if he is seriously not getting enough i dont want him to starve and at some point for my sanity i need to be able to get out of this house. I’m just looking for help or ideas or just if this is normal and will pass.
thanks a bunch.
